(Disclaimer: as many of you know, I can be a somewhat rabid Apple fan at times- my apologies to any PC-loving individuals that are offended by my bias : )

Apple has always been the leader in the world when it comes to marrying service and technology, but I knew today when I read this article in Mac Rumors that it was the beginning of the end of a once-outstanding company.

Sure, they'll probably still stay profitable. They'll probably sell more computers than any other company on earth.

But no company (or person) can thrive for long when their main goal is the bottom line. That's not a goal- it's just something you have to worry about while doing great things. Or in Apple's case, insanely great things.
