Mainstage Mondays: Creating Setlists

It happens all the time: you’re given a setlist for a band, and half way through the evening the lead singer starts calling off songs in the wrong order. You’re left scrambling trying to cut the right preset in Mainstage before the drop.

Fortunately, there’s an easy way to get around this problem in Mainstage using a little creativity. Here’s how I get around this problem:

1. Select your Mainstage concert. For this example, I’m going to use the set from a country group I work with, the Brett Stewart Band.

2. In this setup, I’ve created alphabet-based folders for every song in his set.

3. Once I’ve finalized all the charts and sounds, I copy the patches, and drag them into a setlist folder.

Now if he decides to go off set, I can simple scroll through my patches in alphabetical order and find the correct patch.
