When it’s good to be uncomfortable

It’s good to be uncomfortable in your career when:

  • You’re learning a new skill

  • You’re taking a calculated risk

  • You’re being emotionally vulnerable in the right context

Things that make us uncomfortable that we have to avoid:

  • Asking for more than our fans or colleagues want to give

  • Hard tasks that don’t move the needle on our career, but give us the feeling of progress
